I love this phrasing; it sets up the scene to come perfectly:
Maybe it’s the wine, maybe it’s the dress, maybe it’s the euphoria of being home, or maybe it’s just about damn time.
Oh, glorious fun! Wish I had the nerve to do NC-17. Thanks for sharing.
KEL
Author's Response: Thanks Kel! You know, I'm not a very brave NC-17 person either, and is still kinda shocked that I managed to write it! Probably because it's hardly any naughty descriptive stuff in it!:D
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Lol... You're not the only one who's mentioned that! Maybe I'll get to it. Just have to wait for the plot bunnies to attack!;) Thanks for the wonderful review!
Better than the last one I read as I did finish it. I can't really see them doing that, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Please, oh please, do not write in the present tense!!! (OK, one of my pet peeves!) There's a lot of "ands" in it, more commas and less ands would make it flow better.
It was a pleasant read anyhow.
Author's Response:
Lol... I'm glad you though I did better with this one.
The plot: Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. But wouldn't it be fantastic if they did!:D
Present tense: I think we'll just have to agree to disagree. I know that a lot of people don't like to read it, but I find it to be a challenge and a joy to write so will keep at it, I'm afraid. When I get around to uploading 'A chance meeting', be warned: It's present tense!!!:D
As for the commas and ands, will see what I can do about that in upcoming fics!
Thanks for the review!
Meg!
I just got to read this: what a great story. I think you should post it on FF, even if you do rate it M. Everyone who has you on their "author alert" list and isn't on VAMB will get a chance to read it.
The election was great, I thought. Such a big deal for our country... Now if Obama can only manage to do 1/3 of what he promises... It's nice to have someone I can feel excited about and proud of!
Have you had a chance to read "Left Behind" (the A/U "Resolutions" fic I mentioned) by Aislinn Carter? As I said, it's unfinished, but the last part loses its power anyway. I think you'll like it: it's written in the style of "Dying" and "Winter's Child."
Hope your finals are going well. And when they are over, I hope there's another story coming.
Margaret
Author's Response:
Hi Margaret!
I only now figured out that you can actually respond to the reviews! Lol... I'm happy you liked the story. Will think about posting it on ff.net!:)
Yay for the election!
I went and looked for "Left behind" and turns out I have already read it, I'd just forgotten the title. What a rollercoaster! I hope she finishes!
Finals coming up in three weeks. I could cry!!! It's too easy to keep procrastinating by writing J/C! Somehow, I don't think I'll pass production animals by writing a post-Endgame fixer upper! Lol...
I have a word for this story in my vocabulary somewhere-
Ahh yes here it is---------- BRILLIANT!------------
Author's Response: Thank you! That's very sweet of you to say! I would have replied earlier, but I'm a techno virgin and couldn't figure out how to respond to reviews untill now. Lol...
Welcome to Pathfinder!
This story has some great visuals, and some great descriptions. Delicious! Well done!
Author's Response: Thanks CF!:)
