After being home in the Alpha Quadrant again, Kathryn and Chakotay are finally able to build a life together. But eventually the peace is broken by someone who they thought of as a friend.

After a rocky year home, Kathryn and the Doctor struggle to save one another and in the process, redefine what it means to be human.  Chapters 1-4 are PG-13; Chapter 5 is on the gentler side of NC-17.
