OMG I just finnished reading the story and I couldn't stop laughing at the end...it was refreshing from some of the racier stuff that everyone else was posting--not that I am complaining, great imagination on everyone's part--but it was nice for a chane of pace.
Sincerely,
Tia Angelo

I really enjoyed this story. You did an excellent job keeping these folks 'in character'. A couple of times the story twisted in unexpected (or little expected) ways - that is always nice. The story thread with the Perubians and their kidnapping tradition is great! Thanks for a lovely post Endgame read!
Hi! I don't know how I missed this story in the Spring Fling exchange. I printed it off (along with several others) and just came across it in one of my notebooks! I was going to leave feedback on VAMB, but I decided I wanted to do a bunch of spoilers--so this is a better locale.
First, I loved the "gentle" kidnapping. I did something of the sort in my story "Heart's Truth" without going into the detail you did here. The whole "battle" scene with Riker was a hoot, too! Just a really fun bunch of aliens that I'd actually like to meet.
Then, the boo-boo. I think it is so true-to-life to have Janeway let her guard down like she does with "Tate," and it is just Murphy's Law that she would get pregnant. Many people don't realize that "once is enough," and I like that you illustrate that point here. What a disaster, and how lucky for Kathryn that the purple aliens were willing to take her in.
Finally, I really appreciated the way she and Chakotay dealt with this situation. She didn't even consider abortion, that we saw, and simply folded the complication into her life. Chakotay's reaction was also very real--their argument was so good, followed by a tossing aside of everything in favor of simply being there for each other. That's the way it is in a committed relationship, IMHO. You have disagreements and speak your mind, but when the rubber meets the road, all that goes by the wayside.
I love that the little girl is a handful. I was a little confused about the timeline, though. Five years later, yet they were just having the fifth Voyager reunion? Seems like it should have been sixth, at least. But, who cares? It was a fun view of life with their daughter (and I love the term "sperm donor," BTW).
Just a great read and a story I'll return to often!
Hugs, Miz
